The Valley View Nursing Home Foundation is an official Minnesota nonprofit corporation, created in 1992 to:

• Seek funds and properties of every kind and nature for the sole benefit of the    Valley View Healthcare & Rehab;

• Further educational opportunities and activities related to the care and treatment of the elderly residents of the Home.

• Participate in any activity that will promote the general health of the community.

• Promote and participate in projects of every kind and nature that will benefit the residents of Valley View Healthcare & Rehab.

The Foundation was intended to serve as a fundraising arm to the Valley View Health Care and Rehab Board of Directors, and not an operating nor policy-setting organization, but to receive and grant requests for financial assistance that will enhance the lives of the residents of the Home.  Two members of the current Foundation Board are liaison appointees from the Health Care and Rehab Board of Directors.

Initial Foundation Board Trustees were:  Chris Cox, Joann Frutiger, Helen Houge, Allton Peterson, Ann Peterson, Francis Van Gundy, and Todd Wilson, ex-officio, Valley View Administrator.
